Following the loss of Patch (an experimental entity whose physiology resists standard cloning protocols) R&D has proposed a highly unorthodox recovery effort. Whether this effort results in revival, imitation, or something entirely unforeseen remains uncertain. But for many aboard, the attempt itself is worth pursuing.
