Stacking Rules

Crime codes are organized by a Category Code (…-XX) which is a collection of non-stackable crimes on a row. Within the same category, only the highest applicable severity applies. Multiple instances of the same crime are treated as one, but allow the added charge of Terrorism.

Cross-category stacking: When crimes from multiple categories are charged together, each additional category applies at 50% of the previous (the heaviest crime counts at full; the next at 50%, then 25%, etc.), preventing excessively long sentences.

Alternatives

A criminal may ask for a fine instead of prison time. An officer may decide to forgive fines or prison and instead opt for labor. The criminal must agree to it. Prisoners that attempt to escape are to be treated as if they broke out of prison.
