Description
This is Vaara. They are an Aurelian Vox, a large reptilian biped who stands well over two meters tall. They have pronounced semi-rigid spines on their head, robust digitigrade legs, clawed fingers and feet, a long prehensile tail, and a sharp, three-sectioned beak. The scaled plates that cover their body present a strangely unique set of colors, mainly shadowy grey and pale white, though their various scars reveal purple-hued flesh. Closer examination of these scars reveals that most appear to have been caused by claws, though Vaara’s facial scarring is distinctly rougher, indicating the left side of their face had been previously dragged against something. Their three eyes are a slightly glowing shade of purple, glancing at onlookers with a strangely neutral but observant stare. How lovely.
Vaara often comes off a bit strange when dealing with other creatures socially. Their words and mannerisms are potentially misaligned with the standards set by common language, hinting that such language is atypical of their normal way of speaking and thinking. Combined with a more reserved, calculating nature, some individuals may easily mistake or misunderstand this creature. Despite being so old, Vaara has not allowed apathy to fully overtake their views on other forms of life, leading them to be occasionally cooperative or considerate when it comes to the well-being of others. They have no reason to be malicious unless prompted or provoked; after all, they will outlast the others around them. While Vaara’s demeanor may mask a long-lived coldness, they will chase down and apathetically mangle an adversary to little more than shredded meat if the situation warrants it, feeling nothing in the process.
