Rhyss, Ashfeather Pack

Standing taller than most of his kind at 5'8"(178cm), this Avali cuts a striking figure despite the damage etched across his frame. Ash-grey plumage covers much of his body, though extensive burn scarring has left subtle irregularities across his face, neck, and torso. In many places, feathers have grown back over old wounds, softer in texture and noticeably muted in color compared to the surrounding plumage, partially veiling the scars beneath. Dark charcoal accents mix with soot-stained feathers across his arms and tail, lending him a weathered smoke-darkened appearance. The scars themselves are not immediately apparent. Feathers have long since reclaimed many of the wounded areas, but they return thinner, softer, and washed of much of their original color. The resulting patches stand out against the darker ash-grey plumage around them, creating a subtle flecking pattern that hints at the extent of injuries hidden beneath. Bullet wounds, explosions and raging fires left their mark on him. Sections of his crest bear signs of long-healed damage, its shape slightly uneven where blast damage once tore through it. Though visibly worn, his appearance is far from neglected; his clothing is kept neat and orderly, complementing the disciplined bearing he carries himself with.
