In the course of the conversation, Ekatrina asked if Kweeta wanted to help aboard the Caladrius, making a small kitchen to add to the mobile hospital. Kweeta slotted back into the role of supporting the medical team with the ease of putting on a well-worn favorite boot. It reminded her just how much she loved running with the pack of medics. She may never be a first responder, but helping patients in the office? Treating pod bodies and helping them back on their feet? Caring for medics, who often neglect their own care while watching out for others?
Now that is fulfilling work. And work she'll gladly return to any day, even when bellies are full.
Now Raevelala and the Vox she was meant to be, still trapped in a mostly nonfunctioning stack, seek symbiosis with one another. They speak with each others' voices, as a collective whole.
She was adopted by Vaara. Again.
I'm really left with a lot to think about, out here. No clue why my cryobed is here. No clue what happened to the UN. No clue who anybody out here even is...
But a lady has to make a living. Contract work is just like the marines. The screen points, I shoot. The problem is getting people together to do it. I met a nice IPC out here, something I just learned about recently... Like a synth, a bit. Much more metal than fake flesh, but they've got similar attitudes.
Lots of work together, dismantling spacehulks and finishing out planetary cleanup contrats put a nice amount of money in my pocket. Never seen a stack of bills this high back in the corps. Or money that looked like this.
Lots of new faces is nice, but... I'm missing old ones. Ma, the corps, even the colonists we got garrisoned with so many times.
I try not to think how they've all passed on by now without me.
End log.
Blessed in fact that all appears to have ended well for this one, also for known others. Much rest taken on our part due to mental strain. Research is progressing as intended. A few breakthroughs.
The end of our task is far, despite this, such is okay.
We are in good company.
Little-starlight seems to have discovered her path, a peaceful way forward with herself, we could not be more proud of such.
She knows so much, understands what we do not in a way. Helps us meet others, understand.
With great warmth and kindness she considers us wise, a guiding figure, we cannot disappoint.
This one will not fail. Not again.
I think this is how? i don't know.
I was told to try and record what happened, so i don't forget, so here goes.
Janitor, this shift. Or the commordore, i suppose.
Had a few run-ins with outlaws, some good, some bad.
Nuke got taken, dealt with that, thankfully.
Had to exfiltrate those two. I'm not excited about it. just tired.
Thankfully, the last day was quiet. finally trained some of the new cadets. and the ones who didn't get properly trained. hope it does something.
this is all private, right?

Met my Commodore, got some quick training in before having to dip back into cryo myself. Was given a full tour and everything. Bliko was his name. Interesting fellow... Nice and all but I can't help but get that he's always seeming tired? Just from the way he talks I guess. Makes me think he's had a rough life up to this point. I suppose though being a Commadore, you've probably seen a lot once you get promoted enough to be in the position.
...
My last day of training, more time with Bliko. Also trained with another Peacekeeper... Uhh Riki was their name. Skiddish thing... Much more nervous. But at least I know another face now. All in all, a good shift.
FIGHT PIT THIS WEEKEND.
