The Cell

The Cell is a parasitic life form of aggressive assimilating parasites not uncommonly compared to that of The Flood from the Halo franchise and other eldritch entities. This Gesalt Concious is extremely violent and aggressive, it's sole purpose and desire is to satiate it's unending hunger. It's extreme virality and ability to corrupt and assimilate creatures into it's own biomass makes it an extremely formidable adversary. For Human's and other organic life, the only saving grace from corruption and assimilation from contact is aggressive nanite culling of mutating tissue, and does not guarantee prevention of assimilation due to other factors.

The Cell are in a late stage of universal conquest, having assimilated much of the known universe of EB3-39-216, even without FTL Travel. Humanity was one of the few pockets of unconquered space, and even thought they tried to delay the Cell's progress, it proved unsuccesful. Driving humanity off of their homeworlds and pushing them into an endless chase in the event known as The Marathon.

The Cell uses assimilated knowledge to propell itself through the galaxy in slow conquest with Near FTL speeds. It's ability to spread comes from it's unique ability to share concious commands to individual units of Cell with Telepathy, a unique feature of this gesalt concious.

The Cell would eventually be destroyed and sealed in EB3-39-216 for all eternity by Jeremy Lund during the final moments of the The Multiversal Battle for EB3-39-216.
